2013-14 Week #2 Rankings Released
Week #2 of the rankings brings with it another level of data maturity in the rankings as the site grew the number of games in the system by 50%. The number of teams that now qualify for the USA Tier 2 rankings has doubled in many cases. We are closing in on 600 volunteer this season, but need to reach about 1000 for most divisions to be covered.
Ontario has expressed a lot of interest in expanding the rankings. Because of that interest, we are expanding our coverage of Ontario. Most travel leagues around the province are now included in the system including the three Ottawa District B leagues (OBMHL, UCMHL, UOVMHL). Moving to the east we now have the EOMHL, Victoria Durham, Georgian Bay, Southern Counties and the Shamrock. The one Ontario travel league that we have not yet filled out but plan on entering in the next week or so is the WOAA. All these teams are ranked in the Ontario B/C/D/AE/MD rankings that we hope to turn live over the next week or two. We are definitely still seeking volunteers for most of these divisions.
By filling out our rankings more completely, we aim to achieve our goal of helping you better understand your competition, whether they be your neighboring club or someone from half way across the continent that you will be playing in a tournament. Take a look around and please don't be shy about volunteering if you enjoy the numbers side of the game.
