September Tourney Slate Continues This Weekend
Labor Day Weekend has come and gone, but that wasn’t the end of the big September weekend tournaments.
The big-time events continue this weekend as Canada gets into the act with a huge U18 girls tourney that features top programs from both sides of the border, one of the biggest early season Tier 2 boys tournaments is being held in Michigan and one of the top Tier 1 boys leagues in the United States hosts its first showcase weekend.
Sixty-four girls teams, including many of the top 16 and 18U programs in the U.S. and Canada, have traveled to Ontario for the Stoney Creey Sabres 18U Showcase. Another 124 mostly AA boys teams from both countries are participating across nine age groups in the Michigan CCM Classic at 10 rinks around the state. And in Rhode Island, one of the top AAA leagues in the U.S., the Northeast Pack, is holding its first weekend showcase of the season.
The vast majority of the rinks hosting tournament games for all three of these events have LiveBarn feeds, so most of the action should be available for live and on-demand viewing. Simply cross-reference the schedule of the tournament you are interested in with a LiveBarn venue search to determine if a game you want to watch might be available.
All three events get started on Friday and run through Sunday.

Some of the top United States Tier 1 programs represented include Honeybaked, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, Team Illinois, Belle Tire, Chicago Mission, Windy City Storm, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite, Bishop Kearney Selects and Little Caesars.
